LEVEL 1 BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY
This 5-week hands-on class introduces participants to basic B&W photography procedures. Students will learn how to meter for proper exposure, process their film, and print their own images, with emphasis on darkroom time and personal attention.(Bring : Camera with manual controls, cameras for sale onsite)

LEVEL 2 BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY
A 5-week class designed for anyone with basic darkroom skills who would like to advance to the next level. Emphasis will be on creating a new body of work consisting of images that are related in a meaningful way. The bulk of the class will be spent on supervised printing with breaks in each session for critique and troubleshooting. (Bring : B/W negs & B/W photo paper)

LEVEL 3 BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY
A 5-week class that builds on the skills acquired in the Level 2 Black and White class. Level 3 has been designed for students who have intermediate level black and white abilities and are looking to sharpen their skills and move into more advanced techniques and projects. Most class sessions will be supervised printing sessions with individual consultations and group critiques. Good printing habits will be discussed and emphasized. (Bring: Up to 10 B/W prints of own work & B/W negs & B/W photo paper)

BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY FOR TEENS
Teenagers are invited to learn the basics of black-and-white photography. Students will learn to make exposures with a 35mm camera, process film, and create prints in RayKo’s darkrooms. During field trips and shooting assignments, students will expand their understanding of the technical and aesthetic possibilities of photography. Students will also discuss the work of historical and contemporary photographers. No Pre-Requisite requirements. (Scholarships available: education at raykophoto dot com)(Cameras can be provided)

MURAL PRINTING
Do you want to make your photographic images large but don’t know how? Our workshop serves as an introduction to making large-scale B/W prints. You will get a demonstration of how to use our 8×10 enlarger, and print in our lovely B/W mural darkroom during this 5 hour workshop. Learn how to achieve professional looking results with tips and tricks from an experienced professional. An overview of the Color Mural room will be provided, but no color printing will be done. (Pre-req: Intermediate B/W darkroom experience)(Bring : B/W negatives)

KICK ASS COLOR (Beginning/Intermediate)
This 5-week mind-opening course will introduce you to color materials and darkroom printing skills. Learn to create the images you desire by establishing a firm foundation in color theory and darkroom technique. Printing demonstrations and individual critique will be emphasized while covering topics that include art history, night photography, artificial lighting, alternative color processes, and more! COLOSSAL COLOR PRINTING (Intermediate/Advanced)
This class is for the intermediate color photographer who wants to gain more printing experience, or for a seasoned printer who wants to print huge. A 5-week course will expand your color printing knowledge. We will do tests on various papers and make prints of all sizes, including Mural prints. Topics covered include film and paper testing, mural printing, color theory, and selective dodging & burning. If you’ve been wanting to create a professional portfolio, have a show coming up, or want to add more techniques to your printing arsenal, this is the perfect class for you. (Bring: Color Negatives & Color Paper)(Pre-req. : Basic Color darkroom printing experience)
